Rotax 593 HO E-TEC
The Rotax® 593 HO E-TEC was launched in 2009 and has already become a legend. The durable and reliable direct injection operation of the engine is based on BRP’s E-TEC® technology, which has already achieved great acclaim with the Evinrude outboard engines. The ingenious E-TEC engine system does not increase the weight of the snowmobile. The basic engine is the same as used in the Rotax carburettor and SDI models, but the E-TEC technology provides the same top power without a battery. The engine provides torque and power throughout the power bands, and it has lightning fast reactions to the movements of the throttle.
Thanks to the 3D RAVE valve, fuel combustion is now more even and cleaner, and consumption is lower. This is indeed the most environmentally friendly and fuel economic two-stroke engine on the market: its fuel and oil consumption are the lowest on the market and it is even more environmentally friendly than most four-stroke engines. In practice, the E-TEC engine is smoke and smell free, and starts easily even when cold. Even idling is very smooth. The practicality of the E-TEC engine is enhanced by its handy servicing function: at the press of a single button the Rotax ® 593 HO E-TEC is ready for summer storage in about two minutes.
